What it is
USD₮ is a dollar-linked token issued by Tether. Its issuer publishes reserve information and reporting dates. Read the current report and definitions instead of treating the word stablecoin as a guarantee.
A practical distinction
A token can trade away from its reference value. Exchange access, network support and issuer redemption conditions affect the route from a token balance to money in a bank account.
Study exercise
Locate the date of the issuer’s latest report and identify which entity and liabilities it describes. Do not substitute a social-media screenshot for the source document.
